Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and mix well.
- Incorporate eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the flour and salt until just combined.
- If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until set.
- Allow to cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
- Cut into bars and serve.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature cream cheese and sift cocoa powder to avoid clumps. Experiment with toppings like whipped cream or berries for presentation.
