A delightful dish that combines tender tortellini, creamy ricotta, and savory marinara sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked tortellini
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce.
  3. Layer half of the cooked tortellini over the sauce.
  4. Spread half of the ricotta cheese over the tortellini, followed by a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining tortellini, marinara sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool slightly, garnish with fresh basil, and serve.

Notes

For a healthier version, you can use whole-grain tortellini or low-fat cheeses. This dish can be prepped a day ahead of time.
