- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the spice mixture.
- Cook shrimp until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp and toss again.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Choose shrimp of even size for uniform cooking. Pat shrimp dry before seasoning for better spice adherence.
