Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the spice mixture.
  5. Cook shrimp until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp and toss again.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Choose shrimp of even size for uniform cooking. Pat shrimp dry before seasoning for better spice adherence.
