- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- 1 cup cooked breakfast meat (sausage, turkey, or chicken)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon milk (optional)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the cheese and cooked meats.
- Place a spoonful of the egg mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal.
- Place the filled pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the remaining egg and brush it over the top of each pastry.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best results, keep puff pastry cold until ready to shape. Avoid overfilling to ensure the pastry seals properly. Brush with egg wash for a shiny finish.
