A festive twist on classic tiramisu featuring layers of cherry, mascarpone, and ladyfingers.

  • Total Time: 240 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup amaretto flavored syrup
  • 1 packet ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Almond slivers for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  2. In another bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese with amaretto flavored syrup until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
  4. Dip ladyfingers briefly into a mixture of amaretto flavored syrup and a little water, then layer them at the bottom of a serving dish.
  5. Spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, followed by a layer of fresh cherries.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone on top.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
  8. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with almond slivers.

Notes

Use ripe but firm cherries for the best texture. Work quickly when dipping ladyfingers to prevent sogginess.
