- 2 cooked chicken breasts, shredded
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 4 slices of bread (your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter (for toasting the bread)
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mashed avocado, cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Assemble sandwiches by placing the chicken avocado mixture between two slices of bread, buttered side out.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and grill until golden brown and the cheese has melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For a healthier twist, use whole grain or rye bread and add leafy greens like spinach or kale.
