A quick and easy Chicken Paprikash recipe that combines tender chicken thighs with a creamy, paprika-infused sauce, ready in under 30 minutes.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until they become translucent.
  3. Season the chicken thighs with paprika, salt, and pepper, then brown them in the pot.
  4. Add the chopped bell pepper and cook for a few more minutes.
  5. Pour in the diced tomatoes and chicken broth; stir to combine.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Stir in the sour cream right before serving.
  8. Serve hot over egg noodles or rice.

Notes

Use bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs for juiciness and allow the sauce to simmer for optimal flavor.
