Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup fresh cranberries (or cranberry sauce)
- 1/2 cup jalapenos (diced, fresh or pickled, adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup green onions (chopped)
- 1/4 cup cilantro (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese using an electric mixer or whisk until smooth and creamy.
- If using fresh cranberries, chop them roughly; if using storebought cranberry sauce, simply measure it out.
- Add the cranberries, diced jalapenos, green onions, cilantro, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the cream cheese.
- Mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Adjust the seasoning by adding more salt, pepper, or jalapenos according to your taste preference.
- Transfer the dip to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend (optional, but recommended).
- Serve chilled or at room temperature with your choice of crackers, chips, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
For a smoother finish, pulse fresh cranberries briefly in a food processor before folding them in. Store the dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
