- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Mashed potatoes (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat, stir in parsley, and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve the creamy garlic shrimp over fluffy mashed potatoes.
Notes
Use medium to large shrimp for juiciness. Warm cream slightly before adding to prevent clumping. Store leftovers properly in the refrigerator.
