A show-stopping holiday treat that transforms crescent roll dough into a festive pull-apart centerpiece, perfect as a last-minute appetizer or snack.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of crescent roll dough (store-bought)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • Optional sweet filling such as Nutella or jam
  • Egg wash: 1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water
  • Sprinkles or decorative toppings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  3. Starting from the bottom, arrange the triangles on a baking sheet to form a Christmas tree shape (wide base, narrowing to the top).
  4. Place your chosen filling—about a teaspoon of cheese or a small dollop of Nutella/jam—between the layers of dough as you stack.
  5. Brush the assembled tree with egg wash for a glossy, golden finish.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving so layers hold together while pulling apart.
  8. Optional: Add sprinkles, herbs, or other decorative toppings for a festive touch. Enjoy!

Notes

Don’t overfill the layers to prevent leaks and ensure easy pulling. For extra crispness, bake on a preheated baking sheet or use parchment for easy cleanup.
