- 500g beef strips
- 1 cup cornflour
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 4-6 red chilies, sliced
- Spring onions for garnish
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the beef strips with soy sauce and oyster sauce. Let them marinate for 15 minutes.
- Coat each beef strip with cornflour after marinating.
- Heat oil in a pan until hot.
- Deep-fry the beef strips until golden brown and crispy, then drain on paper towels.
- In a separate pan, heat oil and stir-fry minced garlic, ginger, and sliced chilies until fragrant.
- Toss in the crispy beef and sprinkle with sugar, mixing until coated.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
Notes
For extra crunch, double-coat the beef strips in cornflour. Serve with steamed jasmine rice or a fresh salad.
