Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of bread (challah or brioche is best)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers or choice of crumble topping
  • Powdered sugar (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Grease a baking dish and cut the bread into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, eggnog, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.
  3. Place the bread cubes in the dish and pour the eggnog mixture over them.
  4. Cover with cling wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter with crushed graham crackers for the crumble topping.
  7. Remove the baking dish from the refrigerator and sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the bread.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and set.
  9. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
