Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and egg until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for 15-30 minutes if your butter was very soft to prevent spreading. Use room temperature egg and butter for a consistent dough.
