- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- Zest of 1 orange
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, oats, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely.
- In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and orange zest until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled bars, cut into squares, and enjoy!
Notes
Chill the bars for 20 to 30 minutes after frosting for clean cuts. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
