  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup gochujang
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang, honey, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine any remaining gochujang with a bit of honey over low heat to create a glaze.
  6. Toss the cooked meatballs in the glaze before serving.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice as a main dish.

Notes

Use room temperature beef and handle the mixture gently to avoid dense meatballs. Adjust honey in the glaze to taste for sweetness.
