Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set them aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the shredded chicken along with the Italian seasoning. Cook until heated through.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer three lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  6. Spread half of the ricotta cheese over the noodles, then layer half of the chicken mixture, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat the layering process: add more marinara sauce, noodles, ricotta, chicken, and mozzarella.
  8. Finish with the remaining noodles, cover with marinara sauce, and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Add sautéed vegetables for a nutritious boost or spice it up with red pepper flakes in the marinara sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
