A cozy twist on two favorites, this Mocha Tiramisu Baked Oats brings coffeehouse flavor to a simple breakfast or dessert.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/4 cup espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese (optional)
  • Chocolate shavings or extra cocoa powder for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, espresso, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and baking powder.
  3. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. If using, dollop the mascarpone cheese on top and swirl it into the mixture with a knife for a marbled tiramisu effect.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the oats are set and the top is slightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving so the texture firms up.
  8. Top with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!

Notes

For firmer bake, let it rest 10–15 minutes after oven removal. Can be adapted for vegan or gluten-free diets.
