- 2 rolls of puff pastry
- 6 tbsp Nutella
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp icing sugar (for finishing)
Instructions
- Unroll one piece of puff pastry and spread the Nutella evenly over the surface.
- Place the second piece of puff pastry on top of the Nutella-covered pastry and gently press down to seal.
- Use a medium-sized star cookie cutter to cut out star shapes from the stacked pastry.
- Prepare a piece of parchment paper and a large dinner plate; draw around the edge of the plate on the parchment.
- Arrange the star shapes on the parchment in a circular pattern, overlapping the stars slightly.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg and brush the egg wash over the tops of the pastry stars.
- Transfer the parchment with the stars to a baking tray.
- Bake at 200°C (fan) for 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and dust with icing sugar before serving.
Notes
Ensure puff pastry is cold for a flaky texture. Can be paired with fresh berries or whipped cream.
