  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 rolls of puff pastry
  • 6 tbsp Nutella
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp icing sugar (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Unroll one piece of puff pastry and spread the Nutella evenly over the surface.
  2. Place the second piece of puff pastry on top of the Nutella-covered pastry and gently press down to seal.
  3. Use a medium-sized star cookie cutter to cut out star shapes from the stacked pastry.
  4. Prepare a piece of parchment paper and a large dinner plate; draw around the edge of the plate on the parchment.
  5. Arrange the star shapes on the parchment in a circular pattern, overlapping the stars slightly.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk the egg and brush the egg wash over the tops of the pastry stars.
  7. Transfer the parchment with the stars to a baking tray.
  8. Bake at 200°C (fan) for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and dust with icing sugar before serving.

Notes

Ensure puff pastry is cold for a flaky texture. Can be paired with fresh berries or whipped cream.
