- 1 whole chicken (3-4 pounds)
- 1 box of stuffing mix
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the stuffing mix, chicken broth, chopped onion, chopped celery, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Place the whole chicken in the slow cooker and drizzle with olive oil (if using).
- Pour the stuffing mixture over and around the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker, let it rest for a few minutes, then carve and serve with the stuffing.
Notes
Try adding fresh herbs for enhanced flavor and consider using different stuffing mixes for variety.
