A speedy steak and shrimp stir fry featuring vibrant vegetables in a savory soy garlic ginger sauce, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak, cut into strips
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the steak strips and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in mixed vegetables and soy sauce, cooking until veggies are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles if desired.

Notes

Use room temperature steak and shrimp for even cooking. Cut steak into uniform strips and avoid overcrowding the pan for best searing. Consider finishing with lime juice or green onion.
