- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup toffee bits
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips and toffee bits over the crust.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the chocolate is melted.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars. Serve as a delightful holiday treat!
Notes
Use room temperature butter for the best texture. Store cooled bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
