  • 1 large egg
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream, egg, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times.
  7. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 inch and cut into desired shapes.
  8. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
