Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Stir in boiling water (the batter will be thin).
- Pour batter into prepared cupcake liners, filling them about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cupcakes cool completely.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes.
- Use red food coloring to create the ‘blood’ effect around a small bite detail made with chocolate pieces.
