Tender, flavorful beef chuck roast in hoagie rolls, served with rich au jus for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet of onion soup mix
  • 1 can (14 ounces) beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4-6 hoagie rolls
  • Sliced provolone cheese
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the roast.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or high for 240 minutes until the meat is tender.
  5. Remove the roast from the crockpot and shred the meat.
  6. Return the shredded beef to the juices in the crockpot.
  7. Serve the beef on hoagie rolls topped with provolone cheese and dip the sandwiches into the au jus.

Notes

Trim excess fat for a leaner sandwich. Toast hoagie rolls for better dipping.
