These heart shaped chocolate chip cookies are a cozy, crowd pleasing way to say I care. Soft centers studded with melty chocolate make them irresistible warm from the oven.

  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles (optional for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until well combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Roll dough into heart shapes and place on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  8. Allow to cool and decorate with sprinkles if desired.

Notes

Chill the dough 15 to 30 minutes if it feels too soft to shape cleanly. Store in an airtight container for up to five days.
